Among those Providence hotels offering special pricing packages to Ironman 70.3 athletes are: Renaissance Providence Hotel; Hotel Providence; Providence Biltmore Hotel; Courtyard Downtown Providence; Hilton Providence; Westin Providence; and Marriott Providence. Ironman 70.3 Events Director, Steve Meckfessel cited the numerous hotels in the area as one of the reasons he selected Ironman 70.3 for Rhode Island. “Rhode Island offers a tremendous selection of hotels, in a variety of locations, and prices, from first- class to deluxe accomodations,” Meckfessel said. “Participants can stay right by the airport, or within walking distance of the finish line.”

The only U.S. city recently named one of the “Top Ten Up-and-Coming Travel Destinations in the World,” by the Wall Street Journal, Providence mixes urban sophistication with small town charm. Its red-hot dining scene and well-respected arts community have led to a resurgence in the destination’s popularity.

When booking, Ironman 70.3 participants are urged to request the “Ironman rate.” For event-related information about the race, please visit www.ironmanrhodeisland.com.
